Hotel tubs take a beating. Constant use, heavy cleaning chemicals, and general wear add up fast - and this jet tub was showing every bit of it. The surface had visible scratches, scuff marks, and areas where the finish had broken down right around the jet housings. Not the kind of thing you can scrub away.

Here's what we were working with - a heavily used whirlpool tub with a surface that had lost its protective coating in multiple spots. Before we could even think about refinishing, we had to strip away the old finish and do a thorough cleanup of the entire basin. Skipping that step is exactly how a tub refinish fails early.

Once the surface was prepped and clean, we applied a bonding agent followed by a coat of primer. That combination is what actually locks the new finish to the tub. Without proper adhesion layers underneath, the top coat won't last - no matter how good it looks on day one. We don't skip steps.

After the primer cured, we finished with a high-gloss top coat. The result is a smooth, bright white surface that looks clean and holds up well under heavy use. That matters a lot in a commercial setting where the tub gets used and cleaned repeatedly. Tub reglazing done right should last for years, not months.

This is what a proper tub refinish looks like from start to finish - real prep work, the right products in the right order, and a finish that actually holds. Whether it's a hotel room or a home bathroom, the process is the same. Cut corners on prep and the whole job falls apart.
